Econix Hi-Tech Components Pvt. Ltd. emerged from elmex in 1993 and introduced, for the first time in India, the concept of DIN-rail mounted Interface Modules for Control and Automation Industry. Econix Manufacturing plant is located about 20 kms from elmex, on Vadodara- Mumbai National High Way. Manufacturing Infrastructure : Over the years elmex and econix have continuously updated their infrastructure. Today elmex and econix are equipped with the state of art machinery for tooling and manufacturing, such as : CNC Wire Cut Machine , CNC EDM Drill, Micro-proce- ssor based Automatic Injection Molding Machines with Auto-loaders Ultrasonic Welding and Wave-Soldering Machines, Computerized Multiforming Machine, Pitch-Control Auto-Tapping and Internal Thread Rolling Machine, etc. Testing Facilities : Special testing facilities like Salt-Spray Testing, Short Time Current Testing, Electrical and Mechanical Endurance Testing have been installed, in addition to facilities for Testing as per IEC, UL, CSA. Quality Assurance : elmex manufacturing operations are supported by fully computerized Design and Development for product-design and tool design, Testing Laboratory for conducting almost all of the tests according to international Specifications, and a Quality Management System (ISO 9001 : 2000) operating through out the various elmex units established in Vadodara and around. In addition to above, the quality management system at elmex and econix are subjected to periodic inspection and audits by various international certification bod- ies like UL India, UL International Demko A/S and DNV for product certification and maintenance.
