1. What type of membership should I choose?

  2.I have been asked to enter the word in the image during registration. Why?  
By entering the word you see in the image, you help Bombay Harbor prevent automated registrations. This reduces system loads and ensures better performance of Bombay Harbor services for all members.

  3. What should I do if I cannot see the image?  
If no picture appears, please make sure your browser is set to display pictures and try again.

  4. What should I do if I cannot determine what the text is?  
If you are not sure what the text is, take your best guess. If you guess incorrectly, you will have an opportunity to enter a different text on the next screen.

  5. Why does the "confirm" instruction appear after I have registered?  
If the "confirm" instruction appears after you have registered, the most likely cause is that some information you provided needs to be modified or is otherwise incomplete. Please check if there are any error messages in red and modify accordingly.

  6. What if I get an error message during registration?  
If you see the error message, "This email address already exists." it means that your email address has been registered at Bombay Harbor before. To proceed, please register a different email address for your new account.
If you have forgotten your Member ID, please click Contact Us to retrieve it.

If you see the error message, "Invalid email address." you may have entered the wrong email address. Please ensure you enter a correct email address, as this will be the primary contact method between you and your potential customers.
Please ensure all information you enter is in English, including punctuation. Any information that is not recognized as English will be highlighted in red, indicating an error.

  7. Can I register if I do not have a fax number?  
If you do not have a fax number, simply copy your telephone area code in the fax area code box, and then enter "N/A" in the fax number box.
  Email verification Issue Top
1. If I forgot my password?
Email address verification ensures you will be able to receive messages at your company email address. If you do not verify your address, you may not receive all messages.

  2. What if I have not received a verification email?  
If you have not received your email address verification code, we recommend you change your registered email address on Bombay Harbor in order to receive it.

Follow these steps:
• Sign in at Bombay Harbor
• Click "I Still Haven't Received a Verification Code"
• Enter a new email address
• Submit

As your member ID becomes activated upon registration, email verification will not adversely affect your use of Bombay Harbor.

  3. Can I use Bombay Harbor if I don't complete the email verification?  
Yes, you can.
The verification code is used only to test whether your email address can receive email from Bombay Harbor. You can decide to "Go straight to Bombay Harbor

1. If I forgot my password?
Ans. If you forget your password, please choose a new password for yourself.
To confirm a new password, simply take the following steps:

• Click the "Forgotten Password?" link below the Sign In page.
• Enter your Email Address which you have entered at the time of registration.
• Click "Recovered Password".
Your password will be sent to your respective email address.
  2. I want to change my password?  
To change your password, please take the following steps:

• Sign in at Bombay Harbor.
• Click "Change Password" in the "Account Information" section.
• Enter your current password in "Current Password" and then enter and re-enter your new password.
• Submit.

  3. I want to cancel or change my member ID?  
Ans. For security reasons, each Bombay Harbor account is exclusive to an individual Member ID. Therefore, you cannot change your Member ID.

However, you can register for a new Member ID.

Please note that an email address can only be registered once at Bombay Harbor.

1. Member ID and Password are correct but I still have problems signing in. Why?
1. Cookie Error
A "cookie" is a small piece of information stored by your browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape) that helps websites to keep a record of users. Bombay Harbor uses cookies to allow members to get to the information they want as quickly as possible when they use our website, and to spare you the burden of signing in each time you want to move to a new section of the site.

Many websites require browsers to support cookies. At Bombay Harbor, this allows you to have to sign in only once and thus make better use of our site's features.
If cookies are not accepted by your browser, it may change your current signed-in status and cause cookie errors as you navigate the site.

2. Disabled account
This message will appear if you sign in to Bombay Harbor and the account has been de-activated. It may have been de-activated due to inactivity or other another reason as explained in our service terms. Please contact us at info@bombayharbor.com.

3. Server busy or pages do not open
This message will appear if there is a network jam or server reboot. Sometimes it is caused by a browser problem on your computer if you use a browser other than Internet Explorer and Netscape.

If the problem persists within specific pages, it may be caused by an error in the webpage. Please notify Customer Service. If the page is in Bombay Harbor, you need to provide your bombayharbor Member ID and password to Customer Service

  2. What can I do about a cookie error? Top
If a cookie error occurs, you can take the following steps to resolve it:

Internet Explorer 6.0 - Click "Tools >> Internet Options"; Click "Delete Cookies" & "Delete Files"; Click "Security," and set as "Default"; Click "Privacy," and set as "Medium."

Internet Explorer 5 - Click "Tools >> Internet Options"; Click "Security"; Click "Internet zone." Select a security level other than "High." Or click "Custom Level," scroll to "Cookies," and then click "Enable" for both cookie options.

Internet Explorer 4.x - Click "View," and then "Internet Options."Click "Advanced." Scroll to "Security." Under "Cookies," click "Always accept cookies."

Netscape Communicator 4.X - Click "Edit," and then "Preferences." Click "Advanced." Check "Accept All Cookies."

If you are still unable to solve this problem, please locate the directory where your system is installed, e.g., "C: Windows." Then go to the sub-directory "Cookies" and "Temporary Internet Files." Then delete all files named "Cookies."

  Updating My Profile Top
1. I want to modify or edit my registered information?
To modify your registered member information (i.e., registered company name, email address, etc.)
• Sign in at bombayharbor
• Click "Edit My Member Information" under "My Member Profile".
• Change your registered information.
• Submit when done.

  2. When selecting a category for my company, why does nothing happen after I click "Industry Category"?  
If nothing happens after you click "Select a Category," the most likely cause is that your browser does not support JavaScript.

You can solve this problem by taking the following steps:
If you are using Netscape, please upgrade to 5.0 or above.

If you are using IE (Internet Explorer), please take the following steps to enable the JavaScript functions:
• Click "Tools" on the menu bar of the browser
• Select "Internet Options"
• Click "Security"
• In "Security," you can select "Default" to "Restore (JavaScript) Settings," or select "Customize" to set the JavaScript to "Enabled"

Once your browser supports JavaScript, you should be able to proceed with selecting a category.

  3. Why cant I change my registered country / territory?  
On Bombay Harbor does not allow members to change their country or territory of registration without verification. If the country or territory that you registered is no longer your primary business location, please send your modified information to Customer Service. Our Customer Service team will then make the change for you.
  Website Browsing Issues Top
1. I cannot visit certain pages or it loads very slowly?
If you cannot visit specific pages on the Bombay Harbor, or if the speed is very slow, please contact your internet service provider (ISP) for help.

  2.Why does my browser say that the " Page cannot be displayed"?  
An "Internal Server Error" will appear if there is a temporarily network jam or server re-boot. Sometimes it is caused by a browser problem on your computer if you use a browser other than IE (Internet Explorer), FireFox or Netscape.

If the problem persists within specific pages, it may be caused by an error in the web page. Please notify Customer Service. If the page is Bombay Harbor, you need to provide your Member ID and password to Customer Service.
