The story of Studio Lead Light is the story of one man's passion for experimenting with every dimension of glass, from its physical form to the very essence of its spirit. For Atul Bakshi, a former Master Mariner, this extraordinary journey began in 1984 in Australia where he first studied the technique of modern stained glass. A natural born artist, it was only a matter of time before his skillful hands fused, shaped, moulded and slumped this beautiful yet challenging material to coax masterful works of art from it. Atul's depth of experience and his adventurous spirit have led him to cover the whole spectrum from restoring traditional stained glass windows and panels in century-old churches; executing commissioned works for private homes and business establishments; sculpting glass into abstract, contemporary and traditional Indian forms, to art objects created from crystal and pâte de cristal.
