The flagship Company, Star Wire(India) Limited, is a medium scale Industrial Unit. The turnover of Star Wire is now more than Rs.900 Millions. This company is a premier Secondary Steel Producer employing a capital of over Rs.100 Millions. The company came into existence in 1981 and it has been making rapid progress with diversed activities. The company Factory is situated on a sprawling 20 acres of land in a prime location and at a vantage point at Ballabgarh in the State of Haryana, easily accessible by both Rail and Road. The company employs about 1000 workers and has four main manufacturing divisions: - A. Steel Melting Division comprising of Two Electric Arc assisted with Vacuum Degassing unit, Argon Oxygen Decarborated(AOD) and Laddle Refining Furnace. B. Four Rolling Mills for Special Steel, Rolled Products. C. A well equipped and Modern Steel Foundry Division for making various types of Steel Castings upto 20 tons single piece weight. D. Bullet Proof Division for Manufacturing Bullet Proof Products including Bullet Proofing of vehicles. E. Forge Shop having 2 Tons Skoda Open Forging Hammer. Now putting up 1200 tons open forging press. Our products Alloy Steel Castings, Alloy Steel Rolled Products 6mm to 150mm dia, Alloy Steel Forging Round 100mm to 300mm and General Purpose Forgings, Bright Steel Bars 6mm to 100mm, Alloy/Stainless Steel Flats and Squares of different sizes, Quality Bullet Proof Steel Sheet of various thickness to Defence specifications have become synonymous with quality and consequently enjoy a good reputation among our customers. We are a certified ISO-9002 Company. The company has the capacity, capability and necessary infrastructure and all required Plant& Machinery for undertaking the manufacture and supply of Black Castings and Proof Machined Casting of various grades weighing from 10 Kgs. To 20 M/Ton single piece by processing and moulding the liquid steel provided by the Steel Melting Division. The specialties of our various grades of Castings and Ni-Hard Steel, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel and Manganese Steel Castings with a present production of 150 to 200 tons of Castings per month. The Bullet Proof Division has vast ambitious programme for which adequate manpower, machinery, space etc. Are available at the Company disposal. As a first step in this direction, the Company has entered the thrust market of Bullet Proofing and has made considerable breakthrough by undertaking Bullet Proofing of Cars, Cash Vans, making Bullet Proof Morchas, Election Podiums, Bullet Proof Jackets and Bullet Proof Helmets and Patkas. Our prominent customers in Bullet Proof Field include Ministry of Home Affairs, Defence, State Police Departments and other Para-Military Forces like BSF, CRPF etc. We have already supplied large number of these items to our customers. The company is on the look out for thrust export markets for possible export of their Castings to European, Australian and Pacific Regions besides Asian countries. The company is also equally keen for a possible tie-up of Joint Venture or Collaboration for Castings from interested foreign Companies of repute and is in the process of negotiations.
