Nitrocellulose Molecular formula: [C6H7O2(OH)3-r(ONO2)r]n is white floc and chip fiber, wish specific heat about 0.4 and relative density 1.65-1.67g/cm2, highly flammable, soluble in organic solvent such as ketone, ester, alcohol ether etc, sensitive to machinery impact when alcohol is lower. It can react with acid, alkali, oxidant and reductant.
