Description : Astro Optics was founded and promoted as a partnership company in the year 1977 by Mr.B.R.Jesrani and Mr.C.N.Patel.
In the beginning the Company started off with the manufacture of opthalmic lenses and amateur quality telescopes.
With the gradual acquiring of expertise, Astro shifted its focus to precision optics and opto-mechanical assemblies.
During the past 25 years of growing from a small beginning, the Company established manufacturing facilities for precision optics, imported from world renowned manufacturers. Variety of optical test equipments were also imported from time to time to scale up the inspection capabilities for precision optics.
The Company presently has a corporate office in Mumbai and factory at Umargam, on the west coast of India, about 150 Kilometers north of Mumbai.
The Company follows a policy of continuously upgrading its facilities to cater to the increasing demands of optics in all areas of industrial and consumer products.
The Company is run by a Board of Directors and is having a strength of about 80 employees. The factory layout is in an area of about 8000 square feet.
Though being a family run unit, the Company is having well defined organization structure for efficiently managing its day-to-day operations. Continual improvements in management styles and processes is the motto to better the performance at all levels.
Astro manufactures a variety of optical products to a high degree of precision and accuracy to meet global standards.
We, at Astro, are proud that we have a long list of satisfied customers. Most of the products are developed and manufactured to meet the specifications given by the customers.
