1.S355M’s usage
The series of thermomechanically-rolled fine-grain structural steels S355M is characterised by a minimum
yield strength of 275-460 N/mm2, by good weldability and high resistance to brittle cracking.They
are used above all for highly stressed welded structures in the construction of bridges and steel structures.

The tensile test value of S355M is 470 to 630 Mpa and its total elongation is ≥22%.
The yield strength of S355M is ≥355Mpa when the thickness is ≤16mm, on the contraty when S355M’s thickness is >16mm, S355M’s yield strength is ≥345Mpa.
