United Insulationâ„¢ Blankets are lightweight insulation products designed for general thermal insulation applications in buildings.

United Insulationâ„¢ Blankets are manufactured by spinning molten glass, containing up to 80% recycled content, into fine wool like fibres. The inorganic fibres are bonded together using a thermosetting resin. The product can be identified by its golden appearance.

United Insulationâ„¢ Blankets are available with raw plain, also with kraft, foil, or flame-rated FSK (Foil-Scrim-Kraft) foil facings. United Insulationâ„¢ Blankets are cost-effective thermal and acoustical barriers for the thermal insulation of roof and walls not only in residential timber framed building, but also in commercial steel framed buildings. They have the added benefit of being an effective sound absorber and so contribute to both the thermal and acoustic comfort of building occupants. Applications

Widths less than 1200mm provide a convenient means of installation between ceiling joists at standard centres. Please note in roofing applications where condensation needs to be designed for Anticon foil faced blanket is recommended. Typical applications include:
