17-4 PH (SUS630, S17400, DIN1.4462) is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel with Cu and Nb additions. This material combines high strength and hardness, with good corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties can be optimized with heat treatments. The materials are generally used for parts requiring corrosion resistance and high strength at room temperature. It is suitable for machining in the solution-annealed, cold-worked and age-hardened condition.

As per the customer’s request, 17-4PH will be furnished in the Condition A, Condition H900, H925, H1025, H1075, H1100, H1150 and H1150M. The mechanical properties are altered by different age hardening treatments.
