Inside bearing is ball bearing. Ball Bearing has two built-in ball bearings which makes it low noise, less vibration while revolving. It can work better and longer. There is a groove on each ball bearing, which can contact to O ring to make the cartridge tight. The bur will not shake and it will be safer to patient.
