Cosonic Enterprise Corp., established in 1978, began as a company in southern Taiwan for manufacturing resistors. We then merged with another firm to produce electrolytic capacitors, which later became our main product line. Later the company further expanded its products lines to include ceramic capacitors, plastic capacitors, metal-oxide varistors and LED which are produced by our joint venture companies. The products range expansion was to help customers obtaining electronic components from one unique source -- Cosonic with quality and service assurance. Current production capacity of aluminum electrolytic capacitors in two working shifts is 50 millions pieces. The Taiwan plant is located in Chia Yi producing special items or small but rush orders for exports. The China plant is located in Suzhou with an area of 5, 000 sq. M and a staff of 85. There are three Taiwan engineers in China factory taking care the R&D and the technical issues. Production process is 95% automation. Our products export to many countries. Because many of our customers have moved their manufacturing base to the low-labor cost areas, our main market also moved from Europe/U.S. to China, Brazil, India and Russia. Cosonic sells about 60% of its products under our own brand with the other half going to OEM and ODM customers. Cosonic major export markets are 40% for Asia, 30% for Central / South America, 10% for India, and the rest of the world 20%. Cosonic has ISO 9001 certification and implements ISO 14000 AQL for Quality Control. Cosonic’s major buyers include Panamericana Arrow Componetes Electronicos, Constanta Industrial Ltd, 4D electronic GmbH, Paradox Security Systems, Captron Electronics Ltd. Arlex SA.
