Professor Stephen D Martin has 20 years experience in psychiatry and became a consultant in the UK at age 31 and professor at age 34. He was awarded the NHS UK Hospital Doctor of the Year award for psychiatry in 1997 and has written 200 international conference presentations and scientific articles. He speaks fluent French, German and Thai as well as native english. His clinical interests are in criminality, post traumatic stress disorder and neuropsychiatry. Professor Martin writes 300 Court reports each year. He is consultant psychiatrist at Newcastle Nuffield Hospital and Honorary Professor on a charitable basis at the University of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
