These double layer straight bore rolls are bimetal rolls and manufactured by using controlled rotational speed & precise double pouring of molten metal, this is the most contemporary and sophisticated method to produce high quality duplex rolls, lighter impurities like oxides & gas float more quickly towards the center of rotation from molten metal, where they are easily machined, because of the much-reduced cross section of the shell material, faster cooling rate is obtained, centrifugal casting ensures that the bimetal structure of roll have consistent & uniform hardness depth over the entire surface, 20mm chill depth as standard ±3mm, in this course of casting two independent zones – a shell of chill iron (working layer) of and another a softer graphitic of grey iron (non working layer) is achieved during the casting with clear separation between the outer chilled iron layer and the inner gray cast iron shell, MS & EN-8, (SAE1050) spindles fitted using hot shrunk fit technique in the rolls for accurate tolerances and improved fatigue resistance engineering of Special combination and superior performance of alloy chilled
