BX Ring joint gaskets - Oct, 13 2011

The type BX energized ring type joints, manufactured in accordance with API 6A, are designed for use on pressurized systems up to 20, 000 psi.
All BX gasket incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure which may be trapped in the grooves.
Sunwell 830 Applicable Standards:
> Although similar in style to the octagonal ring joint
> BX series can only be used with 6BX flanges
> BX rings for higher pressure rating starting at 5, 000 lbs, and ending with 20, 000 lbs.
> Rings can not be re-used.
Packing standard:
Used the small carton packing the gaskets then hand into the wooden case to keep the gaskets safe.
