Description : REFINED 0T-A BRASS ALLOY INGOTS
CONFORM TO: UNI EN1982:2000- CB753S
The new OT alloy is particularly suitable for taps, valves, sanitaryware and gas fittings.
The chemical composition conforms to UNI EN 1982-CB753S (formerly UNI 5035) but a special REFINING process has enabled a fine and globular grain to be obtained.
The importance of using a REFINED ALLOY is due to the fact that a product can be obtained that has little casting and processing waste.
The improvement in the flow of the molten metal and the limited shrinkage during cooling prevents the formation of cracks and microporosity and enables particularly sophisticated castings to be obtained.
Even during the subsequent processing phases (turning, polishing, electroplating, etc.) the OT-A REFINED ALLOY brings improved results compared with an equivalent but not refined alloy.
The OT-A ALLOY is supplied with CHEMICAL ANALYSIS CERTIFICATE and M.O. MICROGRAPHY of a cross-section of polished ingot as proof of the absence of ‘hard inclusions’.
