1920 was the year; we stepped into the business world of medicines and its related allied factors. 80 years on, we are still there and going strong, the baton in the hands of the third generation. Our founder Late Shabbir Hussain worked in Raichur General Hospital. Subsequently, he was encouraged and motivated by the enlightened words of his father-in-law, Late Ibrahim Bhai, Pharmacist, and Dr. Khursheed Husain, Head, Department of Surgery, Osmania Hospital. Following this, Late Shabbir Hussain established a medical store, Shabbir Medical Hall with strength of 2 persons, close to the then premier hospital Osmania General Hospital. The enclosure was a medium size shop, which was considered big then. The other noted factor was that ours was one of the earliest medical halls in the city, this was a plus factor since the same enabled us to gain a quicker and easier foothold. The response then was phenomenal and continues to be so to this day. We supplied medicines to all types of hospitals, Government, private and military; the art of medicine dispensation was longer in those days and the rates of complete purchased medicines were in the range of Rs 15/- to RS 20/-. Late Mr. Shabbir Hussain was a stickler for principles and norms of business ethics. He stuck to the same, in the bargain attracted scores of people, as on date we count ourselves lucky to play host to hordes of customers from all walks of life, cutting across age-groups, religion, and caste and income-criteria segments of population. We inherited tremendous goodwill, appreciation, respect and above all immense faith in our capabilities. We were wise enough to know that being well stocked with various brands and makes of medicines would help in enhancing our status and earn the tag of a reliable and trusted supplier of medicines. With growth of our business came greater responsibilities, need for better customer service and a feeling of prestige cum pride.
