Q. What do I do if I want to sell?

Bombay Harbor is an on-line business information exchange platform where you can search or post information to attract potential trade partners. To obtain useful information about products of interest, take the following steps:
• Go to Bombay Harbor.
• Enter your product name
• Click "Search".

The search results will be listed and you can then get contact details by signing in with your Member ID and Password. You can send your message(s) by clicking "Inquire Now." We also recommend posting your requirements into the Trade Leads section to more effectively attract potential trade partners. If you are not yet a member of Bombay Harbor, Join Now.

  Problems Viewing Buyers Postings

Q. Why cant I find Buyers email address?
 
Ans.
We do not display our member's email addresses on the site. This minimizes the risk of members receiving spam or viruses. So, to send your message, simply click "Inquire Now" or "Send Quotation" and the message will be sent.

  Problem Contacting Buyers

1. What types of attachment can I send with my quotation?
 
Ans.
You can add an attachment to your inquiry.
Please note:
• All attachments should be in JPEG or GIF format.
• Each photo should not be larger than 200K in file size.

  2 .How can I make sure that my inquiry has been sent successfully?  
Ans.
In the Message Center of bombayharbor you can check the messages you have sent by looking in your "Sent" box.

  Problems Posting Product

1. How do I post a product?

Follow these steps:
• Go to "My Bombay Harbor".
• Select "Post New Product".
• Select "Buying Tools".
• Fill all the entries and click "Post Now".
You can also see the previev of your posted product.
  2. What kinds of pictures are deemed most favorable on bombayharbor?  
Ans.
Please save your product picture in JPG or GIF format, and make its size no more than 100 KB. This will save you much time when uploading your pictures.

Second, pay attention to the picture's file name. Make sure that its name is completely in English (letters and/or numerals), not in other languages.

  3. How to resize your photo's size if it is more than 100K?  
Ans.
Click: Start->Programme->Accessories->paint

 
4. Why cant I find my products after posting them?
 
Ans.
Most probably, the approval process has not been completed. Product postings, upon approval by Bombay Harbor, are published within 24 hours. If it is not approved (i.e., it requires you to submit more information), your product's status will be shown on your bombayharbor homepage and an email will be sent informing you that your product requires editing.

  Problems Posting My Selling Leads

1. How do I post a Selling Lead??

• Select "Buying Tools".
• Select "Post New Product".
• Fill all the entries and click "Post Now".
You can also see the previev of your posted product.
 
  2. How can I add a picture to my Selling Leads?  
Ans.
You can only add a picture by uploading it directly from your computer.
Please note:
All photos should be in JPEG or GIF format.
Each photo should not be larger than 200K in file-size.

  3. Why cant I find my Selling Leads after posting them?  
Ans.
All postings to Bombay Harbor have to be checked for content and accuracy. Our editing team will either approve and publish your lead or ask you to edit and then re-post it.

This approval process can take up to 24 hours. However, you can monitor its current status in bombayharbor via this process:

• Sign-in to Bombay Harbor.
• Click "Selling Tools".
• Click "Manage My Selling Leads".
• You will see a status table like this one:
• Click on any of the following "Status" tabs:
"Approval Pending"
"Requires Editing"
"Published"
"Expired"

Please note:
if your selling lead's status is currently "Waiting for Approval," please wait until it is placed in one of the other status definitions (listed above) if you wish to modify or delete it.

If your selling lead has been published and you are searching our databases for your it, make sure that you are searching correctly. For optimum results, follow these steps:
Search for your selling lead by entering the same keyword(s) you entered when you originally posted it.

Select "Trade Leads" and then click "Search" and your product should be listed in " Search Results."
