Description : The ARWA DC motor consists of an armature wound with enameled copper conductors and a main frame on to which the laminated main poles are bolted. Armatures are made from low loss silicon steel laminations keyed and pressed on to high tensile steel shaft. Main frames are fabricated from high permeability rolled steel sheets.
All integral hp motors are provided with interpoles for perfect commutation thereby lengthening the life of commutators and brushes.
Commutators are made from hard drawn and electrolytically refined copper segments insulated from each other by mica separators. High grade electro graphite brushes are used in ample designed holders and the spring tension (adjustable) is properly adjusted. The brush position is properly adjusted in the magnetic neutral and marked. This ensures trouble-free running of the machine in either direction of rotation.
Specifications of Standard Motors :
All standard motors are horizontal, foot mounted, screen-protected, drip-proof self / separately cooled, continuously rated and in general conform to BS 2613 or IS 4722.
Speed can be controlled from 100 rpm to 1500 rpm by varying the armature voltage.
ARWA DC motors are suitable for use on thyristor controlled supply, compound excitation can be provided as standard options. Motors other than standard can be designed and manufactured for specific applications.
