Specifications:
MicroFoil reflective insulation is a thin, lightweight, 97% Radiant and 99.995% Vapor Barrier. Standard general use rolls* are 48 wide x 125' long 1 roll per box (500 sq. feet) x 1/4 thick Microfoam polypropylene (4 x 1/16 layers) - (16 x 125' -3 rolls per box for walls, 24 x 125' - 2 rolls per box for roof trusses), R-14.4 to R-39.66, faced with reinforced, high purity aluminum foil on both sides (foil x foil). MicroFoil has our patented 1 self-taping foil flange running down one edge (48 and 72 only) with an additional 1 flange running down the opposite edge the entire length (16 and 24 rolls have staple flanges on both sides). This creates an overall width* of 50 making installation fast and easy. A measuring tape, utility knife and staple gun are the only tools necessary. MicroFoil is the finest reflective insulation available and meets or exceeds all conditions for acceptance, ASTM test methods and MIL E 8261A Mold Growth resistance- NO GROWTH. No need for protective clothing and masks. MicroFoil does not contain hazardous chemicals or harmful materials that cause itching or respiratory problems. MicroFoil is safe, easy to use and environmentally friendly. Weight for this product .86 ounces per square foot. Other roll styles, sizes and custom configurations available.
MicroVent is Identical to MicroFoil as it is actually MicroFoil (standard roll - see MicroFoil description) with one exception - it has been through an addtional process - perforation. MicroVent has the same 97% Radiant Barrier Reflectivity but has been perforated to allow breathability under surfaces like vinyl siding for condensation control. This gives many advantages for uses where a non-perforated material could cause breathability issues. Other uses include tent walls, cabin walls, plane cabins, autos, refrigerated tractor trailers or other interior wall spaces where condensation may accumulate when airborn moisture and temperature differences approach dew point. MicroVent rolls are 4' x 125' (500 sq. feet) with the 1' self-taping and seaming flanges (50 overall width).
