Description : Apart from fulfilling its stated objective of designing and manufacturing high quality products in the low-tech end of electronic, the Crystal Group has done some prestigious assignments for leading organizations, especially in the defense sector. These assignments, setting new standards in the particular sector of the Indian electronics components industry, have won accolades for the Crystal Group's R & D capabilities and stringent manufacturing and design standards.

One such project was the Crystal Group's intensive involvement, spread over a number of years in the Armament Research and Development Establishment's (ARDE) 'Gold Fish Project' for the Indian navy. The Crystal Group designed and produced, to ARDE's fullest satisfaction the entire electronics that went into this crucial anti-mine sweeper device. The design was a complex of over 10 function modules, power packs a motherboard and a framework for housing the different modules all connected to the motherboard with the help of 64 pin euro connectors.
Crystal's vital contribution was subjected to a battery of tests: tests at the R & D lab stage, field tests and finally user tests. It is a matter of greater pride to the group that is electronics came through all these stages with flying colours.

Another prestigious ARDE project in which Crystal was involved was the design and manufacture of electronically timed fuse timers, programmable through an external programmer device. This application serves many needs across the defense sector. Crystal was involved in the design of the distribution box for the multi-barrel rocket launcher.

In the private sector too the Crystal Group has worked on path breaking assignments. One such assignment was the design and manufacture of large message display or LFD for Philips Crystal's development is an 8 x 5 dot matrix display which can display upto 10 ASCII characters the display unit can be interfaced to any unit that transmit ASCII characters on a serial port in the specified message format. The display incorporates a watchdog timer and supports two interface protocols : RS232 and 20mA.

This product too has won rich accolades from industry.
