Description : Balrampur Chini Mills Limited is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturing company in India. The allied business of the company also consists of manufacturing and marketing of Alcohol, generation of Power and manufacturing of Organic Manure. The company has six sugar factories located in Eastern Uttar Pradesh (India) having an aggregate sugarcane crushing capacity of 47,500 tones crushed per day.

Akbarpur has commenced commercial production of sugar on 30th November 2005 at a cost of Rs. 200 crores. The complex is consisting of 7000 TCD sugar plant and 18 MW (saleble 11MW) cogeneration power facility.

The company has signed Memorandum of undertaking with The Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited for acquiring its Rauzangaon sugar unit at a cost of Rs. 182 crores. The unit has 7500 TCD crushing capacity and 12MW of cogeneration power facility. The acquisition is subject to FII's/Banks approval from the Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited.

Another Greenfield project consisting of 7000 TCD sugar plant and35MW (saleble 24MW) cogeneration power facility, 60 KLPD distillery and 20000 MT of Bio-compost is under implementation at Mankpur in Eastern Uttar Pradesh (India) which will cost around 300 crores . The complex is estimated to commence operations in November 2006.
