The fact that the company uses only single species imported hardwood for core and face veneers is a standing testimony to uncompromising quality. The company's state-of-the-art factory is located in Gummidipundi, 48 kilometers from Chennai. Spread over 40 acres, the factory manufactures dry face veneers and wide range of plywood and boasts of the latest technology in plywood manufacturing like.

Sharon has earned the distinction of being the first plywood manufacturer in Tamil Nadu to be awarded the coveted ISO 9002, 9001:2000 & ISO 14001 certification. From catering exclusively to the Japanese plywood market till 1997, Sharon shifted focus to the Indian market, giving Indian customers a world-class choice in plywood.

Till 1997, the entire production of Sharon was exported to Japan, one of the most quality conscious markets for plywood in the world. In fact Sharon was the only one chosen by Japan from amongst all the plywood manufacturers in India, which is proof enough of the high standards that Sharon maintains.
