In 2001 to meet the needs of mills upgrading to the use of Calcium Carbonate as fillers the company entered into a technical collaboration with Schill+Seilacher Germany to manufacture in India Alkaline sizing chemicals based on modified AKD waxes and polymers and set up a separate unit on the Western Coastal city of Daman to meet the industries requirements of high technology.
Today Sood Group Of Companies is a leading name in Paper Sizing Chemicals and supplies its chemicals to Bangladesh and Kenya apart from its huge local market.
The Company is headquatered in Mumbai the commercial capital of India and employs a little over 100 people to manage its manufacturing and marketing operation.
Sood Group of Companies is also the market leaders in ESTERGUMS (Glycerol ester of Gum Rosin) manufactured under strict quality conditions at its Daman Facility, having supplies to major domestic users & exports to USA.
