General Foods Limited
Soya Business cycle including Production, Processing and Distribution
Established in 1973, General Foods Ltd. (GFL) is the first company to bring Soyabean processing and indeed Soyabean itself to India. The company brought the crop cultivation technique, and the processing technology to India.
Having begun modestly by setting up a Plant at the heartland of India, Indore in Madhya Pradesh, with a capacity of 100 tpd to crush Soyabean, GFL today has a formidable omni-presence at every stage of the Soya Business cycle including Production, Processing and Distribution. GFL's plant has been gradually upgraded to the colossal capacity of 400 tpd.
We take pride in having pioneered the concept of Farmer partnership in the early seventies, when we started providing seeds and farming techniques to the farmers which assisted the region to prosper. A new Industry was thus born. GFL has always had the passion to employ the most modern techniques of Soyabean crushing. Our integrated plant processes Soyabean at every stage from cleaning and de-husking to solvent extraction and production of flour, Oil, Grits and Lecithin.
