Poker Architects LLC was formed in 2005 to provide software consulting services specifically aimed at the poker industry. The company is owned and operated inside the United States, with no off-shore outsourcing or affiliation with online gambling sites. Our mission at Poker Architects is to provide the highest quality, unique and creative software solutions to the poker industry, specializing in the teaching market. The president, Maxwell Newbould, has more than 10 years experience in the computer programming arena, ending his last contract at Microsoft in November 2004. Some of the more well-known projects he has worked on include the Microsoft Mobile Development Initiative, which included several Tablet PC and Smart Phone-based games, and several major websites that have been sold to what is now Match.com and Trip.com. Maxwell has held senior architect, project manager, lead developer, interface designer and other development positions that gave him the full gamut of software development skills. Seeking to work for himself in an industry he loves, Maxwell is one of the founders of the company. Maxwell was raised in Las Vegas, his father a professor of economics at UNLV, and has been gambling since he turned legal age. Maxwell has won several no limit hold�em tournaments in New Mexico so far this year. CJ Catalano has more than 35 years experience as a poker player, starting when he was drafted into the Navy during the Vietnam War. His parents were both avid and clever card players, passing on the poker bug early in life. CJ�s professional background is in the construction industry, acting as superintendent on many multi-million dollar projects, giving him extensive business development, management and negotiation skills. CJ is also a co-founder, currently acting as director of business development. CJ has won many no limit hold�em tournaments in New Mexico and in Las Vegas. When a good friend turned Maxwell onto Hold�em last year, he was instantly hooked and read through all the classic books to extract the wisdom from the professional player�s advice. He found that the books do serve their purpose, but at the expense of the learning player at the poker table. He then turned to online play to practice for free, but found the looseness of play money tables would actually teach you how not to play poker. Sensing a niche to create teaching products that serve the poker industry, Poker Architects was founded to solve this exact learning curve situation that many other poker players are facing as poker continues to attract new players, as well as provide reliable and proven technology consulting services to the industry. The central office in Santa Fe, New Mexico, currently supports the management, sales and development staff, and the server farm is located in Henderson, Nevada.
