Changchun Normal University is a public one. In CNU, there are 15 faculties and 6 research institutions. Some 15500 full time 4-year students are on campus; also there are 3500 off-campus students for adult education programs. Ctc also has foreign teachers, experts, scholars and foreign students every year. In China, Chinese people in different provinces speak Chinese with their local dialects. Mandarin was born in our area. One of the best places to learn Chinese language is CNU. Our teachers are rich-experienced and have taught foreign students for many years. Most of them have the certificates of teaching Chinese language to foreigners, issued by China Education Ministry. Our Chinese Department is famous of teaching and it has been conferred as advanced department by Jilin Provincial Education Department. Changchun local people speak Chinese without any dialect, just PU tong hua (Mandarin). Foreign students can hear and talk in Mandarin on campus, as well as everywhere in Changchun. In this language circumstance, foreign students will learn Chinese language better and faster. In the past years, we have had students from Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Romania, Turkey, the United States, etc. We also have students from China Hong Kong by groups who came to learn Mandarin. After studying in our university, some of our students remained in China to study other courses, some went back their home countries or stay in China, have found their ideal jobs. We offer these Chinese programs: A. Joint 2+2 Chinese Language & Literature program for BA degree. We cooperate on this program with foreign university which has Chinese Department or Chinese Study for 4-year BA degree. The first two years students will study this program at their home university. After they pass the HSK level 6, then come to CNU for the last two years study on Chinese. Even the the students have not passed the HSK level 6, they can also come to CNU to join the program, but need to pass the HSK level 6 before they graduate from CNU. Such students will get CNU's BA degree on Chinese Language & Literature and BA from their home university. B. Establishing Chinese program at foreign university or language school. This program is to offer CNU's Chinese language program at foreign university or language school to their students and other external participants without their going to China. The program is designed for those who are not Chinese majors for degree but need to study Chinese for academic and/or business use. We will offer Intensive Chinese, Intensive Chinese for teachers training, Intensive business Chinese, Intensive Chinese for HSK preparation, Intensive Chinese for special purpose etc, separately in each program. The program could be one semester long, offered at appropriated time to the students and teaching staff. We will send our teacher with our teaching materials and syllabus to teach and conduct the program all the way, and issue certificates carried the name of CNU to the students. This is an attractive program and will make your university or language school more famous on Chinese study. C. Send students for any of our courses and get commission by being our representative abroad.
